Artifacts
is an attempt to explore the varieties of multi-media art possible using
computers and the internet. This, our twelfth issue, is the "Nepotism"
issue--in Gallery One is a poem
by my fiance, the Mexican poet Jacqueline Lizarraga de Stuefloten, combined
with a video by myself. Gallery Two is devoted
to my long time friend, the Mexican artist Oscar Rangel--a video of him
talking about his work, photos of his paintings, and a Shockwave segment
(with video) utilizing my recent 3D modeling work with Poser. In Gallery
Three is more of my Poser work--"The Palace of Ungovernable Desire."
It will be a 3-part video, of which part one is now on display, with parts
two and three arriving soon. Flash animations are in the Red
Room, more videos in the Dark Room.
Photos are in the Blue
Room, and odd animated works which are not easy
to categorize are in the Reliquary.
And I should note: these pages are designed for a screen resolution
of 800X600 or larger, with text size set to medium. One of our difficulties,
as web artists, is that computer monitors can be--and often are--set to
wildly different resolutions, not just size, but contrast, color depth,
and more. And then there are the different browsers--different operating
systems! Because Artifacts is an intensely visual experience, we are at
the mercy of your system. If
your picture seems crushed, bruised, defoliated, try adjusting something...anything....
Submissions are welcome. You may contact me, D.N.
Stuefloten, at artifacts@webdelsol.com.
Please remember that all work is copyrighted by the artist and may not be
used without their permission. Work not otherwise attributed--the image
and Flash animation on this page, for instance-- is by myself.
