One day Jacqueline bought a black lace shawl. I think clothing, like art, should be suggestive. Both need to imply more than they reveal. Thus a partially dressed woman looks sexier than one who is nude. Your imagination is activated by what is hidden. The same is true in art. Art explains little, but suggests a great deal. That which is hidden is more important than that which is revealed. The lace shawl, in these pictures, obscures the woman, and by obscuring her, reveals her. Revelation resides in in the shadows. Real knowledge is always too arcane, too occult, to be explained. That which can be explained belongs in the realm of engineering; that which cannot be explained belongs in the realm of art. Thus Jacqueline, in these photos, is inexplicable....
