I have long been curious about the source of inspiration for an artist. The Greeks, of course, assigned inspiration to the muses, nine women. I can argue that Jacqueline, when I met her in Mexico, became my muse. My work was entirely focused on her. But other things seem to connect with the muse in ways that are creative. In this case, it was a leather sofa that we bought at our local Salvation Army store, after we came to California. It was easy to see Jacqueline interacting with it.
